Run For The Board Of Education

Board of Education Applications: Due February 15th

Being a member of the Board of Education of the Mamaroneck Union Free School District is a challenging and rewarding experience. Qualified candidates are committed to our children’s education and our community.

To run for the BoE, you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age and a resident of the Mamaroneck School District for at least one year prior to the school budget vote.

Board of Education responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing policy
  • Defining District policies and goals
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress
  • Approving contracts, bonds and the annual budget
  • Selecting and evaluating the Superintendent of Schools
  • Serving on Committees as liasons
