THE NOMINATION COMMITTEE
MAMARONECK UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT
RULES OF ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURES FOR THE GUIDANCE
OF THE COMMITTEE (the ‘BYLAWS’)
The Committee for the Selection of School Board Nominees (the “Committee”) was established in 1946 in an effort to ensure a School Board composed of qualified members who are fully representative of the Village of Mamaroneck, the Village of Larchmont, and the unincorporated area of the Town of Mamaroneck and the four elementary school districts of Central, Chatsworth, Mamaroneck, and Murray in Mamaroneck Free School District (the “District”). The name was changed in the 2020/2021 school year to the Nomination Committee to steer the committee towards a more transparent and accessible means of finding candidates for the Mamaroneck BOE.
The present organization and procedures of the Committee, as set forth below, have been developed through the past experience of the Committee and are intended to keep the Committee and its functions flexible and adaptable. We shall consist of no more than Twenty-four (24) residents of the District six from each of the four elementary school districts in the District.
THE CURRENT BYLAWS ARE BEING UPDATED AND WILL BE POSTED ON THIS PAGE ONCE VOTED AND APPROVED ON BY THE NOMINATION COMMITTEE
